A brief breakdown of some of the After Effects methods used:

The key object throughout the loop is an isometric cube with a thin white stroke and no fill. A hidden duplicate cube with a black fill on 5/6 sides is parented to the main cube and used as a track matte for an adjustment layer and various shape layers. This creates an effect where twisting the cube reveals the track matted layers in an odd 3D space.

The noise textures were created using various chains of Deep Glow and Noise HLS. The slight chromatic aberration from the Deep Glow gives the Noise HLS some color to grab onto.
